CopyPasteCollage

Hey, my name's Anna!

Almost ten years ago I discovered collage art while also exploring the world of photography. This evolved into CopyPasteCollage, where I created a safe space for myself and others to share their stories.I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Media Studies and have explored the worlds of  culture studies, business journalism, marketing, editorial, advertising, photography, and much more within the last few years. My goal is simple - to amplify voices, foster storytelling, and encourage self-expression.

Art has been my passion before I even really knew it. Whether through photography, collage art, mixed media, or marketing and design, I am to continue creating as my most genuine self.
I use art as a way to learn more about myself and the world around me as well as to share my experiences and feelings with the world. Over the years of creating an online community with CopyPasteCollage, I have realized that many of our experiences are universal and apart of being human.
I love being able to use my education in cultural anthropology, culture studies, and psychology to create experiences and bring forth new stories. As of April 2023 I have curated two art exhibitions and showcased my art in numerous showings within the tri-state area.

Exhibitions

With Love, From Queens

'With Love, From Queens,' is an immersive celebration of diverse artistic voices rooted in the cultural mosaic of Queens, NY. Featuring an array of talents capturing the essence of Queens' vibrancy, this exhibition highlights the works of talented artists born and raised in the borough. As the curator, I brought together a diverse range of artists, including Maria Flores, Isabella Goitia, and Rob Anderson, who created his Kittizen "Queen of Queens" artwork alongside the help of the ALPFA and Queens College communities. Each of these artists offer unique perspectives reflecting the unique stories and talents of Queens.Additionally, I contributed as a featured artist with two pieces, 'Love & War' and 'The Loneliness Cure,' offering introspective glimpses into emotions and human experiences that are faced universally. This exhibition stands as a testament to the curator's vision, uniting diverse artistic narratives within Queens and providing a platform for captivating dialogues through art.

Second Life: A Showcase of Upcycled Art

This concept was brought about from my world of collage art, a niche that often defies conventional artistic norms. It's a creative medium where discarded materials, find new life as components in the crafting of meaningful and stunning art.Beyond my own artistic journey, I aimed to foster a sense of community among like-minded artists who share a deep appreciation for up-cycled art.Through this event, I hoped to start a meaningful dialogue that challenges the traditional boundaries of artistic expression, pushing the envelope of what art can be.
